Carrie A. Preston

Carrie A. Preston, 37, of 129 Olean St., East Aurora passed away unexpectedly at her home on October 16, 2015. Born October 14, 1978 in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of Ronald G. Preston and Deborah Matteson.

Carrie had grown up in Caneadea and was a graduate of Belfast Central School class of 1996. After her education, she was employed at Pioneer Credit Collection Co. in Arcade. The Co. relocated her in 2002 to Fl. She remained at her job there until 2007, when she returned to Caneadea. In 2008 she was employed at Campus Construction Management where she eventually became project manager.

She enjoyed painting pictures, sports and curling, traveling, collecting various items including antiques, was a people person but most of all loved her family and spending time with them.

Surviving are her father, Ronald G. Preston of Belmont; her mother, Deborah M. Matteson of Caneadea; paternal grandmother, Myrtle Preston of Belfast; a brother, Reed Matteson of Caneadea; a step brother, Gary J. Preston of Andover; two sisters, Katie E. (Dale) Thomas of Belmont, and Rachele L. Preston of Belmont; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carrie was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Le Clair Preston; and maternal grand parents, David and Winifred Campbell.

Friends may call at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday October 21, 2015. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Caneadea United Methodist Church. The Rev. Larry Russell, pastor will officiate and burial will be in Caneadea Cemetery.
