Catherine A. "Kate" DaHill, 52, of 108 Farnum St., Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at ECMC Hospital in Buffalo, following a brief illness. Born June 27, 1961 in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Robert J. and Shirley H. Morris DaHill.
Kate had grown up in Friendship and had attended Friendship Central School. Later she moved to Scio and in 1979 was a graduate of Scio Central School. Kate was a clerk for several years in several stores in the area including Giant Food Mart and Tops Market both in Wellsville. Later she was a clerk at Wal-Mart store in Olean.
She loved her horses and especially loved her family and friends and being with them.
She was a past member of the Latter Day Saints Church in Wellsville.
Surviving are six brothers, Mike (Cindy) DaHill of Frankfort,Kentucky, Ron (Carol) DaHill of Harrah,Oklahoma, David (Carmen) DaHill of Salisbury, Maryland, Robert (Trudy) DaHill of Franklinville, Richard (Betty) DaHill of Guam, and Shawn (Tammy) DaHill of Belfast;
a sister, Dawn (Dale) Guinnip of Little Genesee, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitations. Friends are invited to attend graveside services to be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship on May 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Allegany Co. SPCA, Rt 19, Wellsville, NY 14895. Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship.
