Emma Jean Hale, 6, of 5901 Spring Brook Rd., passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Women's and Children's hospital, Buffalo, following a brief illness. Born March 22, 2007 in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Douglas W. and Ashley E. Van Curen Hale Sr.
Emma Jean was a kindergarten student at Friendship Central School. She loved the out of doors and enjoyed any out door sport such as fishing and camping, doing these things with her family. She also loved music of all kinds and dancing.
Surviving are her parents, Doug and Ashley Hale Sr. of Friendship; paternal grand parents, Gerald and Lois Hale Sr. of Belmont, and Evelyn Hale of Belmont; her maternal grandparent, Sharon VanCuren of Belmont;
a brother, Douglas W. Hale Jr. at home; and two sisters, Destiney Renee Hale, and Taylor Jane Hale both at home.
Emma Jean was predeceased by a brother, Colton Andrew Hale (2011); and her maternal grandfather, Robert VanCuren (1995).
Friends may call at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship Saturday March 8, 2014 from 11:30 to 12:30pm. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev.
