Angelica
Karen M. Flack, 73, of 168 West Main St., passed away at Jones Memorial Hospital on Monday, November 20, 2023, following a lengthy illness. Born in Nanticoke, PA on February 15, 1950, she was the daughter of Andrew and Shirley E. Thomas Gall. In 1972 she was married to Harry Flack.
Karen had resided in the Belfast area for most of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Belfast Central School. She had been employed as an engineering coordinator supervisor at Motorola in Arcade for many years. Later she was employed at Prestolite in Arcade for several years, retiring in 2017.
She enjoyed working 4in the Country Store in Angelica, Loved her dogs Hudson and Maddie and making all kinds of crafts for kids.
Karen was loved by many and will be remembered for her kindness and charity.
Surviving are a daughter, Corey M. (Eric) Merrell of Portville; 3 step children, Harry Flack and Maryanne Steves both of Hamburg, NY and Kathy Gregg of Freedom; grandchildren, Mitchell Hawkins, Sherry George and Brandy Schwab; a brother, Andrew Gall of South Carolina; a sister, Shirley Klein of Angelica;
and several nieces and nephews.
