Sandra B. Williamson, 75, of 1229 Blue Mt. Circle, Saylorsburg, PA, formerly of Lebanon, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in her home. Born August 13, 1941 in Olean, she was the daughter of Clyde and Dorothy Robertson Burris. In the Friendship First Baptist Church, she married John H. Williamson, who survives.
Sandra had grown up in Friendship and was a graduate of Friendship Central School class of 1959. After High School she attended SUNY College in Albany, graduating with a degree in education. She began her teaching career in Elizabeth, NJ, where she taught for many years.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and friend. Until relocating to PA last year, Sandra was a very active and dedicated to adult education and teaching Spanish speaking students English as a second language while residing in Hunterdon County, NJ. This enabled them to receive their GED's. She was known to bring her work and even her students with their families home with her.
Surviving in addition to her husband, John are a son, Jeffrey John Williamson of Bath, PA; a daughter, Laura VeEtte Morales of Verona, NJ; four grandchildren, Morgan and Maddie Williamson of Bath, PA, Sofia and Ethan Moralesof Verona, NJ; and a brother, John "Jack" Burris of Eldridge, AL
Local arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship, NY. Memorials in Sandra's name may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation (www.parkinson.org). Her family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.
